The first time I started trying to translate something from English to Portuguese was when I was eleven.
A primeira vez que comecei a tentar a traduzir algo do inglês para o português foi quando eu tinha 11 anos.
I listened to a song and I needed to know what the lyrics meant: that very moment I was sure that English was one of my passions.
Ouvi uma música e precisava saber o que ela queria dizer: nesse exato momento tive a certeza que o inglês era uma das minhas paixões.
Besides English, that band - Information Society - conquered me:
I tried to translate all the lyrics of their 3 albuns! lol
Every single word I looked up at the dictionary! Can you imagine that? =O
Além do inglês, essa banda -Information Society - me conquistou:

Cada palavrinha, procurava no dicionário! Dá para imaginar isso? =O
Back to the past, because of my age my parents didn't allow me to go to Maracanãzinho to see Information Society or InSoc (it was the second time they came to Rio at the same year!).
I cried a lot! I felt so sad! My heart was broken...
De volta ao passado, por causa da minha idade meus pais não deixaram ir ao Maracanãzinho ver o Information Society ou InSoc ( essa foi a segunda vez que eles vieram ao Rio no mesmo ano!).
Chorei muito! Fiquei tão triste! Meu coração ficou partido...
But before the show, my sister and I were walking on Copacabana beach (that time I lived there) when she saw one of them (James, Paul and Kurt) and told me discretely: "Lu, look! That guy is Paul!".
Mas antes do show, minha irmã e eu estávamos caminhando no calçadão de Copa (nessa época eu morava lá) quando ela viu um deles (James, Paul e Kurt) e me disse discretamente: "Lu, olha! Aquele cara é o Paul!"
I saw him and he looked at us: Paul, your face expression I will never forget! lol
Maybe you thought that I would scream or something like that, I don't know, but it was funny!
In short, my sister and I did nothing, we couldn't SPEAK ENGLISH, only undestanding!
Paul went away however, I felt happy seeing him!

After that, I saw their show in 1993 at Imperator and I had to wait 18 years (August, 2009) to meet InSoc IN PERSON!
The meeting and the show were great!
Depois disso, vi o show deles in 1993 no Imperator e tive que esperar 18 anos (agosto de 2009) para ver o InSoc DE PERTINHO!

I'd like to thank InSoc for influencing me to learn English (very soon, I will graduate in English/ Literatures and try to be a translater here in Brazil or maybe work abroad), making me so happy in my teenage and making me have found new friends through the Official Community of InSoc here in Brazil.
Queria agradecer ao InSoc por ter me influenciado a aprender inglês (em breve, me formarei em Inglês/Literaturas e vou tentar ser uma tradutora aqui no Brasil ou talvez trabalhar no exterior), me fazer feliz na minha adolescência e ter encontrado novos amigos através da Comunidade Oficial do InSoc aqui no Brasil.
